First, a small amount of blood, typically 10-20 milliliters, is drawn from the guest’s arm. The collected blood is then placed in a centrifuge machine, which spins it at a high speed. This process separates the blood components based on their density. The PRF layer, which contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors, is carefully extracted. While the blood is in the centrifuge, topical numbing is applied to the guests face and neck, to minimize any discomfort.
The provider will then start by smearing the PRF that was extracted, onto the skin and using the microneedling pen to microneedle the PRF into the skin. The entire treatment takes about an hour and redness is expected immediately following the appointment.
